AdSpike (https://adspike.securepress.co.uk) is run by SecurePress, The Studio, Ketley, Telford, Shropshire, TF1 5DJ ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for the personal information described here. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights. Questions go to admin@adspike.com.

What we collect

  • Your account: your name, email address, a securely hashed password, and when you signed in.
  • Your Google Ads data, once you connect Google Ads: the Google account email you connect with, the names and IDs of the Ads accounts you choose, and their campaigns, ad groups, keywords, negative keywords, search terms (the searches that triggered your ads), bids, budgets and performance figures (impressions, clicks, cost, conversions, impression share and similar).
  • Payments: if you subscribe, your name, email address and the details of your subscription. Card details go straight to Stripe and never reach us.
  • Messages you send us through the contact form.
  • Technical information: your IP address, kept with sign-in attempts and contact messages to stop abuse, and our web server's logs.

How we use it

  • To provide AdSpike: showing your own Google Ads data back to you, working out recommendations, sending the alerts you choose, and making the changes to your Google Ads account that you confirm.
  • To run your account and subscription, and to send you service emails (sign-in, password resets, receipts, alerts).
  • To answer your messages and keep the service secure.

Our legal bases under UK GDPR are performing our contract with you, our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and working, and your consent for optional cookies and any marketing emails (which you can withdraw at any time with the unsubscribe link).

Google user data

AdSpike connects to Google Ads using Google's own sign-in (OAuth). We never see your Google password. We ask only for the Google Ads permission, so we can read your Ads accounts and make the changes you confirm.

  • We use data from Google Ads only to provide and improve the features you see in AdSpike, for you.
  • We never sell it, never use it for advertising, and never share it with anyone except to provide the service, to comply with the law, or with your permission.
  • No person at SecurePress reads your Google Ads data unless you ask us to (for support), it's needed for security, or the law requires it.
  • We never change your Google Ads account without you confirming each change in AdSpike.
  • The access Google gives us is stored encrypted. When you disconnect Google Ads in AdSpike, we delete it and the Google Ads data we hold for you. You can also remove our access at any time from your Google account's security settings.

AdSpike's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Who else handles it

  • Google, as the source of your Ads data and the service we make changes to for you.
  • Stripe, for card payments.
  • Our hosting and email providers, who store the service and deliver its emails for us under contract.

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK, under safeguards approved for UK data such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.

How long we keep it

  • Your account and its data: while your account is open. Delete your account and we delete them, apart from what we have to keep.
  • Google Ads data: until you disconnect Google Ads or delete your account. Daily history is kept for up to 25 months so you can compare periods.
  • Payment records: six years, as UK tax law requires.
  • Contact messages and security logs: up to 12 months.

Security

The site only works over HTTPS, passwords are hashed, the access Google gives us is encrypted, and access to our servers is restricted.

Cookies

We use a cookie to keep you signed in, which the site needs to work. If we turn on analytics or advertising measurement, we ask first and set nothing until you agree; you can change your mind by clearing this site's data in your browser.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, and object to or restrict how we use it. Email admin@adspike.com. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top, and email you about anything important.
